Apollo 11: Some Mysterious yet Interesting Facts

Two days ago was the 50th Anniversary of Apollo Space Program, also known as Project Apollo, headed on towards the Moon and succeeding towards the first landing of Human on Moon on July 20, 1969. It was the 3rd United Stated Human Spaceflight program carried out by NASA.

Regarding Apollo Mission, Some of the interesting facts are that we think you read them first here:

  • The total cost of Budget behind the Apollo Program was $25.4 Billion, which is to be estimated about $152 Billion in today’s dollars after inflation.
  • Neil Armstrong’s words,” One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind costed $15.5 Million to the U.S. The major contract for telecommunication was given to Motorola for building the Data Up-link systems and transmissions of signals from Outer Space to your TV sets.


  • 100 reflecting mirrors were built for the laser ranging Retroreflactor. The retroreflactor uses a laser to precisely measure the distance from the Earth to the Moon measuring to a least count in mm.   
          It’s still working today which helps the GPS satellites in synchronization and helps you to get to meet your girlfriend or boyfriend on time.

  • Three interns working in NASA stole the Moon Rocks from Johnson Space Centre Lab. The rocks were valued at $1.1 Billion. The interns were caught after in a sting operation executed by the FBI and a Belgian Rock Collector.  
  • A total of Six Apollo Missions were carried out, aiming towards landing on the surface of the Moon but due to a malfunction error, Apollo 13 was cancelled with the landing procedure.

  • Some conspiracies also accounts for the Fake Landing of the Apollo 11 and was all a set up by the NASA and the US Government due to the eminent pressure from the Cold War going on in between The U.S Government and The Russian Government The all along pressure of the then President, Mr. John F. Kennedy compiled the statement that U.S will definitely land on Moon in no time because it was Hard for someone to do so.
Some theorists also published papers and book about the theory behind the Waving Flag theory and the shoe mark on the surface of moon without Gravity.

  • Boeing( one of the makers of Saturn V Rocket), Velcro( whose fasteners kept things in Space) and some of the unexpected companies like Hammond(  a keyboard manufacturer that provided mechanical timers and clocks for the spacecraft)were some of the major role playing companies in the program.


  • The launch vehicle that was used by NASA in the Apollo space program in a period from 1967 to 1973 was taller than The Statue of Liberty and Big Ben in London with a height of 363 ft.
Still, whether Neil Armstrong landed on the moon or not, he certainly embarked his and his country’s name in golden letters for bringing an upliftment for the Future Space Programs.

    Still it's a mysterious conspiracy but i strongly believe that it was fake because they've even always lied & tried to hide all incidents regarding aliens as well
